UHN Lakeside Long-Term Care Development @ 150 Dunn Ave – Dec. 12

University Health Network (UHN) – Toronto Rehab, will be holding an Open House and
Pre-application meeting to discuss with the community their proposed plans for expanding the Lakeside Long Term Care Centre at 150 Dunn Avenue.

UHN is aiming for construction to begin during the summer of 2020, and be completed in the fall of 2022. But, before construction would start, they need to go through an approvals process with the City. They intend to submit an application to the City early in 2019.

Councillor Perks and City Planning staff will be in attendance. If you

Have you ever wondered why your toaster or DVD player just stopped working? Don’t know where to begin? Come to this free troubleshooting workshop and learn some simple steps to solving the mystery of broken stuff. Troubleshooting is a method for determining what caused your electrical or electronic equipment (or almost anything) to break.

This workshop will go through the logical process step by step. Bring a broken home appliance or some broken home electronic equipment to practice the troubleshooting method. If you can’t fix it then and there you will know why it isn’t working and if it can be fixed.

The Parkdale Residents Association (PRA) is hosting a Municipal All-Candidates meeting. This is Parkdale residents’ opportunity to hear directly from the candidates running  for election in the NEW Ward 4 Parkdale-High Park. One of these candidates will be our elected representative in Toronto City Council.

To prepare for the meeting the PRA attempted to contact ALL the registered candidates. We asked them for a head-shot, bio and to answer one question – What your vision is [for the future] of Parkdale?

PRA Vulnerable Road Users Survey

Parkdale Residents Association (PRA) wants your feedback.

The PRA is conducting a brief, informal survey on movement around Parkdale. We would like to hear from you to know how you move within the boundaries of our neighbourhood and how safe you feel. Depending on the responses, the survey may lead to the formation of a Working Group that will tackle issues of safety for vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists, mobility users, rollerbladers, skateboarders, e-bikes) in Parkdale.

Please share with anyone that lives or spends time in Parkdale. The survey is open until October 6th.
