Condos Proposal for King and Dufferin

New condo developments are moving into Parkdale!

Lifetime Developments submitted rezoning and site plan approval applications to the City of Toronto on July 20th. The company wants to build condo towers at 1221 and 1182 King St. W. The initial proposals put the buildings at 19 and 21 storeys, respectively.

In current renderings, each condo will offer three levels of underground parking as well as ground and second floor retail spaces. The project will also provide nearly 750 residential units. Currently, the intersection houses two banks, the only remaining downtown Island Foods location and some other fast food establishments. 20150717-condo-parkdale

Canada Post Community Mailbox locations

Canada Post has announced plans to replace door-to-door home delivery service with a Community Mailbox system. Other municipal governments, and their residents, have expressed significant concerns regarding the placement of these new large Community Mailboxes on residential streets.
We need to prevent similar problems here in Toronto where our densely populated neighbourhoods, narrow streets, and crowded streetscape will make implementation more problematic.
