The Toronto Public Library’s citywide Celebrate Democracy initiative helps residents learn about the election, the candidates and the democratic process.
At its heart is KnowYourVote.to, an interactive website where voters can find candidates running in our Ward and compare their positions on key issues, including housing and public safety.
Vote Compass helps voters compare their views with those of participating candidates for mayor and council. Developed by political scientists at Vox Pop Labs and hosted by the Toronto Star, it is available for Ontario’s 50 largest municipalities ahead of the 2026 municipal elections.
Users answer questions about local issues, including housing, transit, infrastructure and planning, to see how closely candidates’ positions align with their own.
