Community Meeting on Safety, Security & Wellbeing in Parkdale
Hosted by Parkdale Activity Recreation Centre & the Parkdale Residents Association
Date: Thursday, July 10, 2025
Time: 3:30 – 5:00 PM
Location: PARC Drop-In Centre, 1499 Queen Street West
Parkdale has long been a place where people from all walks of life find support, resilience, and community. Today, like many neighbourhoods across Toronto, we’re facing the impacts of overlapping crises—from housing insecurity and mental health challenges to the toxic drug supply. These visible struggles reflect deeper issues in our housing, health, and social systems.
We’re inviting local residents and businesses, PARC members and neighbours to come together for an open community meeting—not in blame, but in solidarity. This is a space to share concerns, highlight what’s working, and begin a conversation about how we can strengthen support for everyone in our community.
We’ll be joined by:
- MP Karim Bardeesy
- MPP Alexa Gilmour
- City Councillor Gord Perks
- Neighbourhood Community Officers from 14 Division, TPS
- Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre
- Local residents, business owners, and service providers
Together, we’ll explore how to:
- Improve connections across services and systems
- Support safety and dignity in public spaces
- Identify community-led solutions to complex challenges
- Build a stronger, more caring Parkdale
This is a joint effort by PARC and the Parkdale Residents Association, and your voice matters.
We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation.
All are welcome.
