Parkdale Hub Community Led Event – Mar. 6

HYBRID EVENT – JOIN US FOR THE PARKDALE HUB COMMUNITY PLANNING MEETING MONDAY MARCH 6th, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Join community members to discuss the Parkdale Hub redevelopment. We will strategize to ensure the City prioritizes our needs while magnifying our existing strengths and assets while re-developing the Hub. This will be a hybrid event. In-person spots are prioritised for those who can’t access internet services or require translation. To request in-person translation please get in touch with Ana Teresa, aportillo@parc.on.ca

Parkdale Housing Data Survey – Feb. 13

The City of Toronto is hosting a pop-in at the Parkdale Public Library (Room A), 1303 Queen St. W., on Monday, Feb. 13th from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The purpose is to get local residents’ input into the City’s local Housing Data Dashboard.

The survey will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Participants can enter a draw to win a $25 e-gift card.

This data dashboard is a tool for the City to use to track, analyze, and display data — to gain insight into the overall well-being of our community.

Budget 2023 Town Hall with Councillor Perks – Jan. 12

On Thursday, January 12 at 6:00 PM Councillor Perks will be hosting a virtual Town Hall on the 2023 City Budget. He will be going over what is proposed, what is not, and how you can be involved to have your voice heard. To register, please visit https://bit.ly/Budgettownhall.

Exhibition Place is holding a virtual Community Liaison Consultation Meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, November 29th, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Many things are happening on the Exhibition Place grounds as we continue to move away from Covid restrictions. This is your opportunity to receive updated information and comment regards these 192 acres directly South of our community.

Virtual Town Hall: Addressing the Crisis in Health Care – Nov. 29

Our provincially elected MPP for Parkdale–High Park, Bhutila Karpoche, is holding a virtual town hall meeting.

Our healthcare system is under strain. ER visits are characterized by long wait times, ICUs are at capacity, critical surgeries are being delayed and healthcare workers stretched beyond capacity. Join in a conversation about the latest updates on health care, the government’s plans to privatize, best practices to mitigate the crisis and answer any questions you may have.
